B173ZAN03.3 Replacement LCD screen

The AUO B173ZAN03.3 is a 17.3 inch LCM (Liquid Crystal Module) display, featuring an a-Si TFT-LCD screen with a resolution of 3840(RGB)×2160 and a pixel density of 255PPI. The display has an RGB vertical stripe arrangement, and an active area of 381.89 × 214.81 (H×V) mm, with an outline of 389.89 × 238.31 × 3.5 (H×V×D) mm. The screen has an antiglare treatment, and a luminance of 400 cd/m² (Typ.) with a contrast ratio of 1000 : 1 (Typ.) (TM). The viewing angle is 85/85/85/85 (Typ.)(CR≥10), and the response time is 10 (Typ.)(Tr+Td); 8.3 (Typ.)(G to G) ms.

The display is designed to work in AHVA (Advanced Hyper-Viewing Angle) mode, with a normally black, transmissive work mode. It has a color depth of 16.7M, and can display 100% of the Adobe RGB color space. The backlight is a WLED (White Light Emitting Diode) with an LED driver, and has a lifetime of 15,000 hours. The outline shape is slim, with a PCBA flat shape and a thickness of ≤3.2mm.

The B173ZAN03.3 (AUOA988) is primarily designed for use in gaming laptops, with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a non-touchscreen display. It uses an eDP (Embedded DisplayPort) signal type, with 4 lanes and eDP1.3 protocol, and a 40 pins connector. The voltage supply is 3.3V (Typ.), and the maximum ratings are storage temperature of -20 ~ 60 °C, and an operating temperature of 0 ~ 50 °C.
